Verconor

Media · Publishing · 2023

Verconor was co founded as an early exploration into digital first media. The project was built to experiment with publishing outside traditional editorial structures and to understand how younger audiences consume and engage with information online.

Operating entirely on the web, Verconor focused on fast distribution, mobile friendly formats, and content designed to be shared rather than archived. The emphasis was on accessibility and participation rather than institutional authority.

Contributors were encouraged to publish stories and opinions that felt relevant to them, without the constraints of conventional newsroom hierarchies. This made Verconor less polished than established outlets, but more representative of emerging voices.

The project explored the mechanics of online attention, social media amplification, and the challenges of maintaining quality in an engagement driven environment. These lessons later informed more structured work in media analysis and systems design.

Verconor remains a reference point rather than an active platform. Its value lies in what it revealed about digital publishing, audience behaviour, and the limits of speed driven media.
